The ThinkPad X130e is finally available for pre-order directly from Lenovo. When the company introduced the laptop late last year, the goal was to position the X130e as a laptop for students. The netbook has received some major changes to its chassis, including a thicker bezel with rubber bumpers for improved resistance against drops and damages at the cost of a slightly thicker build. The laptop has two models. The Intel model is up with Core i3-2367M ULV CPU pair with GMA HD 3000 GPU. And the AMD version will come with either E-450 or E-300 CPU’s with AMD Radeon HD 6310 graphics.
Other features that are shared across the board include the following;
*11.6 inch (1366 x 768) anti-glare display
*Low light sensitive VGA webcam
*4GB RAM
*250GB (5400 RPM) hard drive
*Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n
*6 cell battery
*Starting weight of 3.9 pounds
* Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit edition)
The AMD model has a starting price of $429, while the Intel version starts at $549.Both units are expected to ship this February 9th.
