Pocketbook A7 Android Tablet Officially Launched Description
PocketBook International recently introduced a new tablet called the PocketBook A 7″. The A7 is the smaller sibling of the A10, Pocketbook’s 9.7″ tablet. Its major features include compact design, Android 2.3.7, powerful processor and a 7’’ color sensor display ensure the most comfortable conditions of watching video, viewing pictures and reading. The PocketBook A7 is actually positioned by the company as a “multimedia reader,” so it comes with support for a wide range of eBook formats including the popular EPUB,PDF, FB2, and TXZT to name just a few. With a 1GHz single core CPU and 512MB RAM it doesn’t impress as far as power goes, and with only 2GB of user available memory you’re really going to need that microSD slot. You do get a 2 megapixel front camera to play with, though no back camera. The PocketBook A 7″ is listed as weighing in at 410 grams, and in a failed attempt at fancy marketing the dimensions are listed as “(…) 207 ? 131 ? 14 mm – less than a standard A5 sheet of paper”.
It’s also going to ship with Office Suite Pro v.5, CoolReader, as well as 47 different ABBYY Lingvo dictionaries that will help to define the meaning of foreign words while reading. Sadly, There are no info about its availability or price has been made public.
